If their discourse is just about embracing fascist rhetoric to establish a dialectical framework, then they have, at best, misunderstood Hegel, and at worst, read nothing by him. It seems they are confusing Hegel's philosophical method with the principle of contradiction in a debate. Or else they haven't read him at all and only know a distorted version of his work, which reinforces their pre-existing fascist ideology.
>It is a way to legitimise the worst excesses of far-right ideology under the guise of philosophical debate
Yeah, I think this is why sanje left and the group crumbled, they realized this was true
>these random women
>“hot girl philosopher” cult of personality
This is a very male way to react, in that when you see attractive women you devalue their accomplishments by reinterpreting their success as simps who like them because their pretty and pandering to male interests. Gamer girls have suffered immensely under this yoke.
You nailed the outcome. One thing I'd add is that I was one of the hosts at the actual event, and the picture from inside looked a bit different. It wasn't really conservative-leaning women self-promoting through philosophy. It was a front for MAGA Communism, using Hegel as branding to pull in dissatisfied leftists. Not so much the conservative Catholic you describe (they were against this even), more BRICs-aligned tankies. I wrote up where it all went after the collapse a few months later: https://matthewdonovan.substack.com/p/i-hosted-the-hegelian-e-girl-party
