was diagnosed with ADHD this year (i’m 20), and while it helped with realising the ways I crush, love, and get attached, it’s sent me on a whole other wormhole of questions about myself, how to love, etc. this summarises it so well, well done!!!

The time after the first diagnosis is always difficult. I remember mine. I went down many rabbit-holes figuring myself out. Hang in there. It does get better.

Yes, dating an ADHD-er requires a lot of work. The "cheap dopamine" trap can make us very avoidant. And then very clingy. There is this account on Instagram that shares on tips on dating people with ADHD. I find that very useful to understand the other person's perspective. Let me see if I can find it for you.
